Jalena, was a terrific guide! Though we are not Game of Thrones fans we still enjoyed it. Most of what she shared was history and information not just about the show. She did share enough and all the highlights of the filming so those that were fans enjoyed that as well.

Our guide was Branko Jakobović. He was excellent. I learned so much about the filming, the actors and the cinematic ‘deception’ methods used in GoT. Thoroughly enjoyable even tho I have never watched a single moment of the show. It’s my wife who was the fan. Highly recommended even if you aren’t a fan.

Jelena’s GoT/history walking tour was outstanding! She’s a super-nerd of the show and knew all the locations and explained how HBO did the filming and various special effects. She was extremely knowledgeable about the history of Dubrovnik, very friendly and personable to talk to, and generally made the whole morning really fun! She did a great job integrating the actual history and the fantasy world together to paint a vivid picture of Dubrovnik. I absolutely recommend her tour for anyone who has watched Game of Thrones and wants to be immersed in the world of King’s Landing for a couple of hours!

Really great tour. Jelena was excellent and presented the information in an interesting way. We saw lots of sights around beautiful Dubrovnik. Would have liked a little more general history info but really am being overly critical of a most excellent tour.

Jelena was everything you want from a guide – very knowledgeable, personable, interesting and fun. She provided excellent historical and cultural context re Dubrovnik and clearly knows her stuff re Game of Thrones, including her memories of the production of the show in the Old Town. Having just returned from a trip to Croatia, this was not only the best tour from my trip but possibly the best tour I’ve ever had.

Having lived in Dubrovnik her entire life, our guide Jelena from Dubrovnik Storytellers not only brings a wealth of Game of Thrones knowledge from the show and the books but was there during filming. This allowed her to give insights other guides lack, including pictures from the show’s sets, backdrops, and use of green screens, vividly describing how the show was filmed in this beautiful city.

Just as importantly, her tour is also filled with Croatian and Dubrovnik history making this also a great in-depth tour of the Old Town.

The tour exceeded our expectations as it balanced the history of Dubrovnik with Game of Thrones insights. The tour size was nice compared to so many other tours going on at the same time. It’s a great way to start your time in Dubrovnik and get a feel for where to spend the rest of your time here.
